First Demo playable NOW! Demo preparations
It's getting exciting on the planet Nion Prime!
As you read this, our first demo is ready to be tested. We've been working towards this moment for two years and are now ready for your first impressions as a player!
But we don't just want to tell you about the released demo, we also want to share our latest progress in development.

Tutorial
Our main focus over the past few months has been on the tutorial, which is also a story intro for the game.
It will be very exciting to see how it is received by players. If the tutorial fails to pick up the player, we will have to adapt it until everything is clear. It's a kind of test run of a district, so the basic elements are introduced so that you don't have to ask yourself later “what's that circle in front there for and can I fly into it, etc.”.
Capsules
No, not food supplements, in this case capsules are a fancy term for graphics that are displayed in the Steam store and library. These are often the first point of contact with a potential new player so it was important to focus on them. The previous capsules were also crude and we have also redesigned the logo to make it more concise and easier to read in small graphics.

Small improvements
We have adjusted the color of the fog in the city districts a little, depending on the district, so that it looks a little more homogeneous. This also gives us the advantage that we can do a bit more in terms of color in later districts.
The user interface has also been refined a little. Applied effects that affect the player are now additionally displayed with icons and we have made a few adjustments to menu panels to improve the overall look.
The hangar user interface still needs to be reworked, there was no time for that before the demo - but we can use the feedback all the more to make it as user-friendly as possible.
Martin has of course optimized a lot of things under the hood, including the third boss, which used to be a bit too easy. Now it has become a real challenge for new players.
Ready. Demo. Go!
Much of our free time has gone into preparing the demo and we hope that you will have a lot of fun with it, including experimenting with different ship configurations and upgrade paths.

In the demo we have included a feedback window which you can activate by pressing F1, ideal for bug reports or suggestions for improvement.
Thank you so much for your patience. We know it’s been a long time without any news, but also: We are just two people who are sacrificing their free time for this, while having a blast of course, but it’s also very exhausting at times.
As before, we also invite you to join the Nion Forge Discord to give us feedback and exchange ideas with other players.
Thanks for all your support, it means everything to us!
